Are You Living Your Plan or Someone Else’s?

For years, I thought I had it all figured out.
A stable career, a solid reputation and a life that looked “successful” on the outside. People assumed I had clarity about my next steps, my purpose and my path forward. But inside, I felt… stuck.

After years of seeking clarity and reflecting on my journey, one day it finally became clear: I had been living someone else’s plan. The expectations of family, teachers and society had shaped my decisions more than my own desires, strengths or God-given purpose. I was following a script that wasn’t mine and it was costing me energy, confidence and fulfillment.

The Turning Point: Choosing to Design Clarity

Clarity didn’t arrive overnight and it certainly didn’t come by chance. It came when I decided to pause and audit my life:

1. Audit My Impact: I asked myself, What outcomes truly matter to me personally, professionally, spiritually? And in all areas of my life

2. Align Strengths with Vision: I mapped my skills, experience and passions to opportunities that excited me and aligned with my values.

3. Translate Insight into Action: I created concrete steps to move forward small, intentional actions that built momentum and confidence.

This process was transformative. I began to see not just my next move, but a path that felt authentic, energizing and aligned with the purpose God instilled in me. It became the foundation for Design Your Life Academy (DYLA), a space where we help Women, professionals in transition and purpose-seekers intentionally design lives with clarity, confidence and conviction.

The Lesson for All of Us

Clarity isn’t a luxury reserved for executives or people in high-profile roles. It’s a strategic advantage for anyone who wants to stop reacting and start designing their life with intention. When you gain clarity, you don’t just advance, you transform your trajectory, your confidence and the impact you make in the world.
