Your Script Is Sacred: Stop Copying Someone Else’s Exam

Have you ever felt like you’re behind in life?

only to realize you have been measuring yourself by someone else’s story?

Life is often described as a journey but sometimes, it feels more like an exam.
The kind with no clear instructions, unexpected questions and moments where you wonder if you are even answering from the right paper.

But here’s the truth: you are the only one with your exam paper.
God wrote your story; uniquely, intricately, intentionally.
He didn’t make a copy.

The Designer’s Blueprint

Psalm 139 whispers a truth that grounds us in divine certainty:

“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:16

And God’s words to Jeremiah echo that same tender intentionality:

“Before I formed you in your mother’s womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” Jeremiah 1:5

Before you ever took your first breath, your script was already written; word for word, line by line; by the Author of life Himself.

Your timing, your path, your lessons, your breakthroughs… all have divine choreography.

So when we start comparing, copying or competing, we step out of sync with the rhythm Heaven designed for us.
We start acting in someone else’s scene while our own remains unfinished.

Comparison is a thief, not just of joy, but of direction

The Hardest Exam

They say life is the hardest exam.
Most people fail because they try to copy others, not realizing that everyone has a different question paper.

And isn’t that true?
You see someone else succeed and wonder if you should do what they did.
You hear another person’s calling and begin to question your own.

But you forget: their exam isn’t yours.

You were never meant to photocopy purpose.
You were meant to live revelation, the kind that unfolds in partnership with God, not imitation of others.

The Beauty of Your Own Script

There is a sacred rhythm to becoming who you were created to be.
Some seasons will seem slow; others full of acceleration.
But each one is written with purpose.

Your role is not to rush the story,
but to read the script God has already placed within you, through prayer, reflection, obedience and courage.

Because no one else can live your purpose for you.
They might inspire you, but they can never replace you.

A Gentle Invitation

Today, I invite you to pause and ask:

“Lord, what’s written in my script for this season?”

Then listen.
He will show you where to focus, what to release and what to nurture.

Because when you stop copying others and start co-creating with God, your life begins to unfold exactly as He intended; beautifully, purposefully and in perfect time.

Irrefutable Truth

“Before I formed you in your mother’s womb, I knew you.” Jeremiah 1:5

“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:16

“Each of us has one body with many members and these members do not all have the same function.” Romans 12:4

What part of your life have you been comparing to someone else’s story?
Take a moment today to ask God what He’s written in your script for this season.

And remember, the world doesn’t need another version of someone else.
It needs you, walking boldly in the story Heaven already authored.
